Dear Students,
As the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (İİSBF) family, I am very pleased to welcome you to our Faculty’s digital environment. With its multidisciplinary academic structure and departments, qualified academic staff, and an educational approach aligned with the requirements of the age, our Faculty aims to prepare our students for both today’s world and the world of the future.
Our departments such as Economics and Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Management Information Systems, Finance and Banking, Accounting and Finance, and Capital Markets focus on educating individuals who understand the functioning of economic structures, manage financial processes, and are capable of playing an effective role in the business world.
While our Department of International Trade and Logistics educates professionals who have a strong command of the dynamics of global trade and are capable of strategic thinking, our Departments of New Media and Communication and Public Relations and Advertising contribute to the development of individuals who can communicate creatively, criticaly, and effectively in an increasingly digitalised world.
Our Departments of Sociology, Psychology, and Social Work aim to educate graduates who understand social structures, individual behaviour, and social work practices and who are equipped to contribute to social benefit.
Our Departments of English Language and Literature and Translation and Interpreting provide a strong academic foundation for students who wish to deepen their knowledge in the fields of language, culture, and translation in a multilingual world.
Our Departments of International Relations and Political Science and Public Administration educate solution-oriented individuals with a critical perspective on global politics, public policy, and governance.
Our Department of Aviation Management aims to educate professionals who have a strong command of the managerial and operational processes of the aviation sector and who are qualified to compete at both national and international levels.
Our Department of Tourism Management, on the other hand, provides education in line with the current needs of the tourism sector and educates graduates who are well equipped in sustainable tourism, destination management, and service quality.
At the same time, within the scope of our Career Guidance, Industrial and Professional Vocational Education Programme (KEP) courses, which are offered to enhance the sectoral knowledge and professional orientation of al our students, expert professionals from different sectors meet with our students, share their experiences, and provide guidance for their career planning. As one of the best examples of university-industry cooperation, this programme makes a significant contribution to the development of our students.
In addition, in al undergraduate programmes within our Faculty, students are required to complete 'On-the-Job Professional Practice (İMU)' in the 8th semester. Through this practice, our students establish direct contact with the business world before graduation, gain experience by applying their theoretical knowledge in real working environments, and make a strong start to their careers.
Our Faculty not only provides academic knowledge but also places great importance on creating an environment that supports the social, cultural, and professional development of our students. Through our rich pool of elective courses, active student communities, career events, and seminar programmes, we prepare our students for life as productive individuals committed to lifelong learning.
As the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, our primary goal is to educate individuals who combine knowledge with value, uphold ethical principles, and are able to adapt to a changing world.
